Ultra portable notebook [modified]
-
I am considering buying my first notebook (preferably ultra-portable) and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as I have never owned a notebook/laptop before..... Preferably 2Gb ram, dual core and if possible a solid state drive instead of a hard drive. I did see Chris's post below but was wondering if there were others that people have actually used. regards, Jonathan -- modified at 5:31 Wednesday 8th August, 2007

why not? A little bit of competition between the 2 cores might result in better performance ...

That which does not kill us makes us stronger. Friedrich Nietzsche. so does that mean your cores might compete until they reach 6ghz trying to win your favor?

I was intrigued until I saw the price tag. My first ultra portable is still probably going to be asus's eee pc. a 10-20x pricegap more than makes up for the lower feature set.

Which of course is generally bullshit but commonly accepted anyway. ;)

of course it is... :-D

because bullsh*t is easier to believe. The truth cannot be reduced to a single phrase, but bullsh*t can, thus is easier to remember, thus easier to believe. :-D
