Could Windows 7 have a better name?
-
Hey Friends I was wondering whether microsoft should have choosen a better name to the new os? Windows Vista or Windows XP were good names, is'nt it? I hope better than windows 3.1 or windows 98 or windows 2000?
Windows 7 is a great name. Vista was an awful name. Obviously by the same guy who named Windows Azure. XP meant nothing, at least to me it didn't, so it didn't offend or appeal or anything. It was just XP.

because folks are convinced Vista is still broken, therefore Microsoft will bow to everyone's desire and publish a new version that they can charge everyone for again.... Sometimes the customer IS right in their eyes. :) all new version, more money, MS will be happy to sell a SP2 of Vista rather than giving it for free... it is what the public wants.

Jon Smith & Wesson: The original point and click interface
I hear there is a new "stripped down" interface, but it requires even higher graphics demands... think it will sell? ;P

Especially if it is totally mouse driven, leaving one hand free.

How about Windows "Crap"? It's about time they invested in some truth in advertising.
