That is the least intelligent and most bigoted remark I have ever seen you post. Sad.

Actually, can I take back that I ever said it? It came out a lot worse than I intended.

How's that Elephant's ass? Cozy enough in there? Can I get you anything? A cup of hot cocoa? A blanket?

Man refuses to drive 'No God' bus [^] I can only imagine how threatened this twat must feel by a sign on the side of a bus. Is his faith so weak that it could be turned by a few words on the side of a bus? Moron.

I find that I can think of things that would force me to take a stand similar to his. Since I'd want to have that right and be respected when I exercised it (whether I could keep my job or not is a different story) I guess I'll have to respect him.

It obviously hasn't effected his faith. I would suspect that he doesn't want any part in spreading that message. I wouldn't want to either. It doesn't say anything about his intelligence. Would you say the same about somebody who refused to drive a bus because it had a religious message on it?

Not of this sort: it is trivial and risible and is also not very christian: are the beliefs (or otherwise) of others not allowed to be seen? Ar emy beliefs so upsetting to you that you could not even read them without have the strength to understand them without being turned? You give it a rest.

Obviously they are, he'd just prefer they were seen with somebody else at the helm. For a non-religious example, I recognize the right of Democrats to think they are right, that doesn't mean I'll support anything that spreads that message.

Well, of course. Without knowing, talking to, or being the man in question, you have no way of actually knowing his attitude. Your imagination is all you have to go on.

Taking something out of context is really naughty. There is a difference between you actively proseltyzing and me reading a passive sign on a bus. In the first instance you are seeking to convert me to your way of thinking and I have to slam the door in your face. In the second I can simply read it and choose to ignore it: bit like walking past a church and reading the sign that says 'Jesus Lives' or whatever. I'm ceratinly not going to walk into the church and castigate the vicar cos I don't like his signage.

Well, of course. Without knowing, talking to, or being the man in question, you have no way of actually knowing his attitude. Your imagination is all you have to go on.

Right. As well as several others. However, that does present some difficulties... You have to expose yourself to the wrong side to know what they're spreading, what they're up to, and for a wider perspective. You just have to find ways to get that without letting them benefit from it. Thank you internet! :-D
