You're a fool. And you're dishonest (that's a redundancy, of course) ... *refusing* to pay attention before you get up on your silly moral high-horse is dishonest. And especially when that silly moral high-horse is about an animal. I let the opossum go; I don't have anything against 'possums, since they don't destroy my property. They're ugly, but so are you; that's no reason to kill either them or you. Furthermore, I don't have anything against skunks (other than the fact that they are what they are, and so I want them far away from me). The ISSUE was about getting near the skunk. If skunks didn't engage in chemical warfare, I'd have let the poor fellow go at once. Skunks (and other critters) do dig around in the yard, but so far the mess and disturbance has been tolerable. It's only raccoons, and to a lesser extent, fuzzy-tailed tree-rats, that I want to kill. edit: ... and groundhogs/woodchucks.
