Plans are afoot to resurrect the Police Academy[^] series. The first was amusing enough, but it effectively had 4 jokes and they stretched those out way too long.

I liked Police Academy a lot however I would wish they would come out with something totally new instead.

Let's hope it follows Hollywood's recent trend of gritty reboots.

I was trying to think of a good joke as to how Police Academy could become "gritty," but it just isn't there... Just don't see how those movies could be anything but slapstick comedy.

It said "a household name" (singular), so I assume it means his mother knows who he is now.

I caught the first one on TV a while back, thinking, "I love this movie!" Of course, it had been over 20 years since I'd seen it, and after about five minutes I thought, "I loved this movie?" and had to turn it off.

He said, "Boy I'm just old and lonely, But thank you for your concern, Here's wishing you a Happy New Year." I wished him one back in return.

Perhaps they could get in the cast from The Wire and have the Police Academy recruits (including that funny one who could impersonate a horse) attempt a long-game wire-tap ... with hilarious results.
