    So says someone who just doesn't 'get' football. 1. It's not sad it's France. 2. You don't have a favourite team you support your country (however bad they are) 3. It's not possible to have two 'favourites' unless one is a club side and the other is a country. :)

          YES! YES! YES! :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: They didn't deserve Ireland's place in the finals anyway. They didn't win a single match in the groups stage. Ireland should have been there, we may not have performed any better, but we should have been there.

            You missed one fact: Ireland did not even got close to be dangerous in their game against France. OK, Henry cheated, but to win, Ireland would also have had to score, which, IMHO, was not the easiest for them to do. So please stop with this "we should have been there". If this were the case, you would have qualified yourself earlier.

                  But i'm from India. Those teams are just my favorites in football. So i didn't relate to any of those country. In cricket, South Africa is my favorite. :)

                    Well, the US didn't lose. However, neither did the English. Though no one is too complimentary about their play so far, they have yet to lose a game and they are going on the next round. Unlike the French. :)
