IBM(I'm Being MentalTM) just filled for a patent to naturally make the digital files age over time. Linky I mean if I want a photo to look older I'll apply a blodoy effect in Photoshop or Gimp or waht have you. But no, they want them to get old and one won't be able to recreate the original photo or document. This blows my mind just like the Lambdas code some threads below. Clever Code actually. Disclaimer: I'm Being MentalTM is copied from some comments. :)

It's for the internet. The web doesn't forget. Good in some parts - but it can also turn out bad (unwanted facebook-pics e.g.) Therefor should a file format be developed that ages over time and is non valid after a certain time. the developed thingy must be an active file, otherwise it won't age by itself. pretty cool.
