the sad part is, I could see it actually being true...Some people think programming is simple. "I can do Word" is not to far off comments I have actually heard myself..
Let's face it, after Monday and Tuesday, even the calendar says WTF! Be careful which toes you step on today, they might be connected to the foot that kicks your butt tomorrow. You can't scare me, I have children.

So... Why does that make the C language suck? It really sucks that there are people out there that lie about their abilities on their résumé to get a job. It wastes the employers time and money, and sometimes these guys actually pull it off... but unfortunately it results in a horribly written piece of software for the end user. That is so true. I see people who think because they can record a macro in excel they are programmers. It is quite amusing to show them some real code and ask them to 'Talk me through it'.

He wasn't saying the C language sucked. It was the humour of the posting by Jergan (Jerk off more like) and he was using a litotial metaphor to adumbrate the colossal ignoramity of the non-programmer, whose self belief belied his ability and for whom the word Programmer was, at his hiring interview, giving answers that were indeed clear, simple, straightforward and true, there is some difficulty in justifiably assigning to it the fourth of the epithets which have been applied to the statement inasmuch as the precise correlation between the information he communicated and the facts insofar as they can be determined and demonstrated is such as to cause epistemological problems of sufficient magnitude as to lay upon the logical and semantic resources of the English language a heavier burden than they can reasonably be expected to bear. He lied!
