Buggiest Program I've Seen in a While

Password Safe. When you create a new group, it sometimes disappears, sometimes overwrites an account entry, and renaming them seems to rename all of the groups rather than just one (until you close it and open it again). Not only that, but the sites it links to that show 5-star ratings are all dubious in one manner or another. On one site, it doesn't link directly to the page, and there are too many search results to find the tool I'm looking for. On another, the 5-star rating is from a single rating. On another, there does not appear to be a mechanism to vote. And on one of the links, my browser attempts to download a PHP file rather than actually open a webpage. I'm guessing they just remove links to sites that don't have a 5-star vote, and they just find more obscure sites to add a download to and then rate it 5-stars themselves. With all the oddities I have seen during the few minutes I have used it, I'd be surprised if it even encrypts passwords. Even though it's a steaming pile of garbage, it's free and has some neat features, so I'm going to use it anyway. :(( :-O  <— shameful self-hating pity

:omg: This is one neat piece of software. I'm going to wait a week or so to ensure it works as I need it to without glitches, then donate a good chunk of moolah to them. Thanks for the suggestion!

Just been looking in the Free Tools forum*. I was sure I hadn't posted it there because someone beat me to it. Apparently not, so I'll do it now (*or at least as soon as I go by Bugs'n'Sugs to say that forum has disappeared from the left menu.) I have some passwords with serious entropy that I've *never* typed (and probably couldn't most days). KeePass generated them and pastes them as required. Cheers, Peter

So it must have gone down hill since started using it, I have over 200 passwords in mine and some I have never typed, ever.
Never underestimate the power of human stupidity RAH

Yeah, I was curious how the top Google search result for "password safe" could be so crappy. Perhaps I just got a bad build or something. In any event, I'm enjoying using KeePass so far.

The only time I need passwords is online, so having a local manager does me no good if I'm not at my computer. For that I use PassPack, which has been tremendous.
