Abstract Void - Forward to the Past[^] Not sure how I found this one, but it's pretty great! Abstract Void mixes synthwave and (post-)black metal. Not an obvious mix, but it works really well. Other than that, nothing is known about Abstract Void. Their official bio says it's a one-man project from the planet Earth. Now brought to you on website CodeProject :D

Parts of it remind me of Jean Michelle Jarre's Oxygene album.

Fun! An oldie: [Royksopp – Here She Comes Again](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rFI4JfbgOSY) And another fun one for good measure: [Fever Ray 'Keep The Streets Empty For Me'](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jWFb5z3kUSQ) add: another toe tapper until you listen to the words: [Planet P Project: Work (Will Make You Free)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6OkPkHfUj6w). Planet P Project is worth checking out.

The synthwave genre was heavily influenced by 70's and 80's synth music, including Jean-Michel Jarre and Vangelis, so you heard correctly :D I don't know Oxygene that well, but I've listened to Equinoxe a lot.

This is the "new" Röyksopp. I haven't really listened to them since The Understanding from 2005. So not that old  Great track though :)

Listened to their latest album because a friend recommended it to me. Good stuff, but somehow not really my cup of tea. Can certainly listen to it though. This track is nice as well.
