Sound of the Week
-
Yasunori Mitsuda - Chrono Cross ~ Scars of Time ~[^] A soundtrack this week, from the Chrono Cross game. I've been playing the remaster of this classic and while the remaster is not very good (a game from 1999 with framerate drops on a PS5!?) the game and its soundtrack are great. Rather than sharing the original music with you, I've chosen a live orchestral performance. The original from 1999 sounds, well, like you'd expect from a game soundtrack from 1999. It's the opening track of the game, so probably the first music you'll hear. It's pretty iconic, but the game has many great tracks. The entire soundtrack is on both YouTube and Spotify. If you're into JRPGs like (classic) Final Fantasy I can highly recommend Chrono Cross. Now I'll just need to play Chrono Trigger too :)

Like the up tempo parts of this one. How's this one for a laugh Lindsey Stirling - Roundtable Rival (Official Music Video) - YouTube[^]. Didn't come up directly after your SOTW, I think it came up after 3 other songs.

Nice ... upvoted :) Lately I re-discovered Whitechapel ... their latest album is perhaps their best, for example this track is quite addictive [Whitechapel - Anticure (OFFICIAL VIDEO) - YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iDJu33AmZgM)

I love Forever Autumn from War of the Worlds as well as Days of Future Passed from The Moody Blues. This particular song is a bit to mellow for my tastes though. Maybe when it isn't interrupting my metal playlist...

Always liked Lindsey Stirling. She used to cover game soundtracks while cosplaying as some character from the game
