Sound of the Week

VOLA - Future Bird[^] I finally _witness_ed VOLA live last week! :D They're absolutely amazing, one of the best bands of this day and age period. Future Bird was never a favorite of mine, but it came in differently live. Just stood there, eyes closed, taking it in, forgetting I was even at a concert. Support act Voyager was great too, awesome energy on stage! All in all a great night to remember, and with Future Bird I'm sharing some of that energy with you all :D

Great  ... there are some Katatonia vibes, which is good :) Lately I stumbled upon this - a well done visualisation of the Mandelbrot set [Mandelbrot Zoom: Bach, Fractals, and The Art of Fugue (HD) - YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d6PBFa3VozE) - a sudden jump in my case from extreme metal to extreme classic :-) [edit] VOLA is indeed amazing, found also this from them [VOLA - Alien Shivers (Official Video) - YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oV71YZluVQc) [/edit]

Apparently, the Mandelbrot sequence is from a Bach documentary... Not sure what those documentary makers were smoking to use these visuals  Great piece though. Alien Shivers is one of VOLA's bigger hits, awesome song. Other favorites (of mine) are Gutter Moon, Inmazes, Ghosts, 24 Light-Years, Feed The Creatures, These Black Claws... It's all awesome really :D

Nice track to listen once and never again  It's not that I hate it, but I've never been a fan of Rush or classic rock in general. Neil Peart was a great drummer though!
