Sound of the Week
-
Beenie Man - Dancehall Queen (featuring Chevelle Franklyn)[^] I was out with some friends last weekend, playing snooker, pool and darts, and the club we were at played this song. The song was a hit in the Netherlands and I just read it did better over here than it did anywhere else, but only after its second release in 1999 (first was 1997). Being a young teen in 1999, I know this song, even had it on CD, I just hadn't heard it since 1999! Needless to say I played it a few more times this week. Beenie Man was a celebrated reggae artist from Jamaica, and Chevelle Franklyn is Jamaican as well. You won't hear reggae in this dance hit though :D Sound of the week!

I've posted dance before and I will do so again. I don't believe in any gods so I can do so without fear of retribution :D

Good song, nice video, but I expected something a bit harder to counter balance, like my SOTW of two weeks ago[^] ;)

For the farmers out there: [Pajama Slave Dancers - Farm Rap](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JNCun3AVGaw&t=1663s). You might like the rest of the album. [Ibrahim Maalouf - Diagnostic - 07/06/2013](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=le-e37ZMck8) - starts taking off about 4:30

Hey, thanks for your concern! :D Doing fine, just been very busy. Been listening to the same game soundtracks mostly, and then just in the background. So nothing really going on for me, musically. I'm open to suggestions though :D
