        And you probably have Windows NT, 2000, or XP, right? ;P It's not that I can't use it at all - I just have to be careful what I do.

                              Look at the script above it seems to enumerate over all the CD drives on your computer and open them. I wonder if it would open the drives if you were in the middle of burning something to CD/DVD. That would stink if I was burning a DVD since they are about $2-4/DVD :(

                                          The real eye-opener is Microsoft would provide hardware access to VBScript executed from the context of a web page. FWIW it doesn't do anything from IE6 in Win2003. cheers, Chris Maunder
