Hi all This is a really bad weekend for me and my wife. We applied for immigration to Canada last year. The Visa office in Berlin wrote that I have to take an English test to proof my English proficiency. Yesterday the results arrived and my English isn't good enough to get the full immigration points (my overall band score is 6.5 of 9). Now we won't qualify for the immigration unless I will find an employer who is willing to give me an arranged employment by September, 24 - what is nearly impossible. I leave nothing undone so maybe you know a company who is looking for a C# developer. Here is copy of my resume http://www.canadian-net.de/stephan_resume.doc[^] and a translated version of the reference letter from my current employer http://www.canadian-net.de/EN_References_Wachter.doc[^].

It may not be needed. You should try applying to Quebec first. I understand they control their own immigration - unlike the rest of Canada where immigration is controlled by the federal governement. I 'm suprised they gave you a 6.5 on English - judging by your post you seem to have very good command of the language. And I know of tons of people who immigrated to Canada that can hardly speak English, let alone write. 60% of statistics are made up on the spot

        > You should try applying to Quebec first. If the original poster doesn't speak French, don't get the impression that he will be be welcomed in Quebec.
