Cheap web hosting
-
I was planning on creating an online family album with pics and video clips. Does any here know of any cheap(<=10$ per mnth) and efficient webhosting provider ? I would be satisfied with arnd 750mb space and 5gigs monthly transfer . Its fine if I don't get any backend database or asp, asp.net. There are so many providers I found while searching, that I am confused  which to choose now. Just victims of the in-house drive-by They say jump, you say how high
http://www.onmatrix.com[^] Choose the Standard plan ($9.95 for 2GB storage space and 5GB bandwidth traffic, NO Setup fee, Domain registration included)

I'll throw in my usual pitch: http://www.webhost4life.com[^] (Referral link: http://www.webhost4life.com/default.asp?refid=jsagara[^]) Why do I feel so dirty when I do that? Every little bit helps...

I'll make sure to use the refid url if I use this provider. :) Just victims of the in-house drive-by They say jump, you say how high

Ranjeet Chakraborty wrote: Unlimited Bandwidth Be careful there. If you read their TOS, you'll see that it is "unmetered" bandwidth. That is, as long as your bandwidth consumption isn't detrimental to their network, they won't pay much attention to you. So, as long as you're not providing huge file downloads to hundreds or thousands of people, you should be okay. Ranjeet Chakraborty wrote: I'll make sure to use the refid url if I use this provider. Oh, and another unusual thing is that they collect the whole year's hosting fee up front, but they will refund the balance if you decide to cancel before the year is up. You are NOT locked in for the entire year.

And, while I'm at it, I'll give you another tip. :) Go to http://www.webhostingtalk.com[^] and post your requirements in the appropriate forum (I think it's called "Shared Hosting Offers and Requests"). There are a lot of players in the game, so you could potentially get a lot of offers.

But I guess its obvious, for any shared hosting, unlimited is a myth, unlimited as long as its not abused. Thanks -Ranjeet Just victims of the in-house drive-by They say jump, you say how high
