Anyway, thanks for deleting my account, but I found this funny....Weird sense of humor... What if one of them decided to fight for his life and punch the little girl? Or even pull out a gun (you know, being Brazil and all).

Anti-Virus SoftwareI'm using Nod32 at work and Avira (free version) at home. I like them both.

Word for Windows 95Might be a collector's item for some.

Punny discussion on Youtube -
Smartphone suggestion requiredI'm using a Windows Phone and loving it, but I would advise - if possible - wait a couple more months or so and get a Windows Phone 8 device - the next generation. It will have the same kernel as Windows 8 desktop and will support DirectX.

Most Absurd Movie EndingsI haven't seen any of those you mentioned, but "The Mist" had a really really outrageously absurd ending.

Android 4.n SucksIt's beyond me how Android has the market share it has while most people who buy one eventually say it sucks. Windows Phone on the other hand has the highest customer satisfaction ratings of all current OS-es, but still struggles in the single digit marketshare zone.

So long old friendGood choice! I've been happily using Opera for years.

James Whittaker: Why I left GoogleThat was a good read. Thank you!

Screen Capture SoftwareI just use my mouse for that: http://a4tech.com/sproducts.asp?cid=225[^] The driver includes a very handy screen capture tool. I can make screen selections, highlights, draw shapes, add text and save to file or copy to clipboard, all without ever opening any imaging software. The tool is just an overlay on top of the screen, invoked by a dedicated mouse button. Truly a time saver. Recommended if you're willing to get a new mouse just for this. The mouse itself is also great and very good value for money too.

Phone recommendationsI'm very happy with my LG Optimus 7 and the Windows Phone OS. It works perfectly fine with Gmail. You can even link multiple email accounts from multiple providers to have all emails shown in a unified Inbox. I'm not a user of google calendar but a quick search tells me the calendar app can sync with google calendar. The Omnia 7 is a great phone from what I've seen. Stylish and sturdy at the same time. It's very cheap nowdays and you will get the update to the most recent version of the OS. The 2nd gen windows phones are nice also. Somewhat better specs (some have front facing cameras), but the overall experience will be the same since you'll have the same OS version.

My New Machine vs VS 2010Kyudos wrote:
I have a new 64 bit quad-core machine waiting for Win7. Any tips for setting it up so compiling on VS 2010 doesn't kill the whole machine?
AFAIK Visual Studio only uses one thread for the build action, so it doesn't make much difference how many cores you have.

I have the Droid Razr myself, and I like it a lot. I don't have anything against Windows phones, I just haven't seen one that's impressed me yet on the hardware end of things.
Numbers don't mean much, it the experience that counts. My 1 GHz single core Windows Phone is lag free across the OS. My friend's Galaxy S2 with 1.2 GHz dual core processor sometimes stutters when scrolling through the contacts list...

Verizon & WP7 - what a hootBiggest mistake from MS was to put the name Windows on it. People instinctively think of laggy, buggy, virus-prone software when they see "Windows". And Windows Phone is anything but that. On mobile ground, those attributes are way more characteristic to Android phones. I'm was an early adopter of WP (LG Optimus 7). Still a happy user a year and a half later.

iPhoneThey say a used cell phone has more germs in it than a toilet. Plus the iPhone itself is not far from crap anyway. I'd recommend a Nokia Lumia phone. (710 or 800). They come in pink too.

skyrimThere's a short story collection,The Last Wish[^]. The first one is called The Witcher, but all of them are centered arounf Geralt. Also a series of novels, but only the first one has so far been translated in English (Blood Of The Elves). If you want to buy the original game, I recommend GOG.com[^]. Cheaper than Steam and DRM free. GOG is owned by CD Project, the same guys that created the 2 Witcher games.

If you are an iPhone fan in India...My LG Optimus 7 is the first smartphone I own. Very satisfied with it for almost a year now. I'd only change it for a Nokia Windows Phone (Lumia 800).

skyrimExactly. I have a retail copy, but I know it has been on sale before on Steam, so most likely it will be again. Keep an eye for it during the holiday sale. The Witcher 2 is on my whislist, BTW. I don't think it will run that great on my machine so I haven't jump on it on launch day. I loved the first one though. I even read the book that started it all and I often listen to The Witcher OST while coding.

Have they removed the auto leveling of all creatures to your current level? Because if this “future” is still there I’m not buying it.
I hate that gameplay concept too. If you want a good, hardcore RPG, I strongly recommend Risen. (The PC version).
