Load corrupted HTML into XML documentYou might try using the HTML Agility Pack[^]. It's worked reasonably well for me in the past.

Left 4 DeadI'd say pretty good. I've seen a number of whiny comments from people complaining because it is not on par with the likes of Crysis. The game play is where its at though. Great fun.

You would think...Hey, its only a beta, give them some time to get the kinks out. ;P

Vista + iTunes + WiFi = disasterFunny I've never had an issue with Quicktime + iTunes. Now WMP on the other hand, though I must admit that more recent versions are tolerable.

What is the state of Java/Linux development?I would describe some of the MS technology as torture too. It all depends what you're used to, and how much crap you're willing to put up with.

Spore's DRM getting further relaxedI wonder how many of those people bitching and moaning about it and downloading out of spite would actually go out and buy if it had no DRM at all.

Non-MMORPG's? Do they exist anymore? If you're looking for an RPG try The Witcher, the Enhanced Edition is due for release any day now.

Amazon reviews of Spore DRMThese idiots are just as bad as those that rate a game/movie/etc a 10 months or even years before release. Rate the game not the DRM. That said, while I don't think it lives up to the hype, I am still enjoying it.

Funny PSU VoltagesThe one +5V is probably +5Vsb which is standby current, which is always supplied to the motherboard, even when the system is 'off'.

Funny PSU VoltagesI don't trust voltage readings from Speedfan, they have never been accurate for me. The best thing to use would be a voltmeter, failing that check in your bios, I've found those readings to be more accurate than software.

Firefox and GMail instabilityNever had a problem in FF2, but in FF3 beta with the FB betas, I can definitely concur. I now only enable it whenever I need it. One of the perils of living on the edge.

Anti-VirusI just installed the 30 day trial (only expires on 15 June though...) so far so good. I prefer a nonresident scanner, which why I always used AVG, because I could turn off all their services. With the new AVG 8, if I do that the on demand scanner no longer works. I figured lets see what else is out there.

Ok this is really getting on my nervesThis is how I do it, navigate to Services in Administrative Tools, right-click on it and choose Author, switch to Standard and Save. Doesn't work so well in Vista though, you may need to take ownership of services.msc, and set the permissions, otherwise just save to another location, and launch it instead of the default one.

Experts ExchangeThe CustomizeGoogle add-in can filter Google search results, I find it quite handy to filter out many of the 'shopping' sites that pollute the results when I am searching for product reviews.

I bought my daughter a computer with Vista...I've been using Vista at work for some time now, and am satisfied with it, I'm not blown away by anything though. My biggest issue is with Windows Explorer not remembering my folder view settings, and trying to guess which view I should see, and getting it completely wrong 99% of the time.

Disappointing disc rantFor me at least the LotR DVDs (12 disc edition, not sure of the others) had the most well put together set of extra features I have ever seen. And yes I watched it all
