During a break of World of Warcraft early last summer, my kids and I played C&C Tiberian Sun (my favorite of the series) and Star Wars Gallactic Battlegrounds. C&C was one of the first strategy games I played many years ago. I would get my butt kicked on the most advanced settings. I can now routinely beat the game at the highest difficulty (though not when also at the highest speed.) This isn't just because I've learned how the AI "thinks", though that's a big help, but just being more familiar with the genre. I'm really looking forward to the upcoming C&C 3 Tiberium Wars. I hope it's good. Anyone who thinks he has a better idea of what's good for people than people do is a swine. - P.J. O'Rourke

I've given up on upgrading to Vista, because work has almost 100% decided they will NOT upgrade. At home, I installed the Vista Transformation Pack for some visual upgrades, but keeping the XP core.
