It looks like it was down for a while and couldn't find anything online. Anyone knows what happened?

Looks like it's been a rough day at the office... -
How did you find find CodeProject?Interestingly enough, I found them the "physical" way. I was looking for tech companies close to where I lived at the time (Eglington and Don Mills/DVP area in Toronto), and they came up. I think they have moved to downtown Toronto since then.

Another ancient oddity in .netYou really need some mental gymnastic to read my message and think that I'm trying to diminish you. I am not the one inserting some nationality (Mexican in your case) followed by a derogatory term (hobo) to say something is bad. I was not offended, I just said that the message could have been answered without inserting any nationality. I don't get offended by random people on Internet, I would be a very bitter person if I did. But I also tend to think that bigots are usually not the smartest people in the planet. That being said, I'm not interested in wasting more time responding to someone that is showing your kind of behaviour, I have better things to do with my life. Hasta la vista Thornik.

Another ancient oddity in .netI'm lucky to live in a country where I can say pretty much what I want without the government coming after me. I'm also lucky enough to be in a position where I don't need to diminish anyone to feel that I'm better.

Nesecito orientación en relación a cunato cobrar por un trabajo como freelancerAs a Spanish speaking person, even the Spanish part hurts my eyes, translator is mostly NOT to blame for the poor translation. Nesecito Necesito cunato cuanto trades tardes manjo manejo Is not about being a grammar Nazi, just basic professionalism, specially if you want to be taken seriously by clients.

MS MoneyI use GNUCash, and I'm quite happy with it. Not as good as MS Money, but a decent alternative.

Both Weird & Wonderful - a W10 SurpriseDid you try running it as admin? It might be the case that when you run it in compatibility mode it tries to reproduce the look of the version you are emulating, but might require elevation to actually change the look.

Man Catches Job Interviewee Cheating During Skype InterviewSpending an hour is a bit tedious but it is also quite efficient. Asking the question and waiting 3 to 5 days to find that it is a common problem, or getting the key name, is worse, as it holds up your work. So that one hour was a good investment I think.
I agree, I rarely ask questions myself, 99% of the times I find the answer from people that asked the same question. But the times I asked the question, I kept googling while waiting for an answer. In any case, calling someone search engine impaired person because they couldn't find the answer is a little harsh don't you think?

Man Catches Job Interviewee Cheating During Skype InterviewSometimes, when faced with a problem the first time, it's hard to describe it in a way that is easy to Google. E.g. I remember that I was trying to find a solution to a problem I was having in SQL, and it took me about an hour until I found that it is a common problem called "Gaps and Islands". Once I knew the name, I got my answer in a couple of minutes. You also have to remember that for most of the people working in IT (70/80%?), English is not their first language.

The Peter Norton thread below go me thinking ...I'm sorry to tell you that the best word processor ever, many years ahead of its time, was Word Perfect.

Let's REALLY make sure "4" isn't "5"Did the guy knew about IDEs with auto-complete? I understand the point that even if it takes a fraction of a second longer to type a variable name, it will save you several minutes/hours in the future when you or someone else has to maintain that code. But even that fraction of a second disappears with auto-complete.

You've been demoted! Many, many years ago, when I was doing my first internship in a big company, we got a new manager who in the first meeting told us that "in the next couple of years CASE (Computer-aided software engineering) tools will make software developers redundant and that we should focus in other aspect of IT if we wanted to stay in the field. users will be able to model their requirements and the tools will write the software for then.". Even though I was 20, I was smart enough to understand how stupid this guy was, that CASE tools were a fad and started searching for a new job that same day. Within 2 months I was out of there. 24 years later, me and several millions around the world still have a decent paying job developing software. Thinking that, in the near future, AI "something" will be able to replace humans in such a complex stuff as developing software fall withing the same realm of stupidity IMHO.
