I'd like to support them, as I get their content for free, but for normal people in RSA, we simply don't have the surplus cash for it. I hope one day we will. That said, I think a better long term solution would be to not pay them so they all go on strike/abandon Youtube and Youtube is forced to give more to the people who literally create content for them.

Is it the clues, the answers or both that are themed? I remember it all started with spinners in the clues, but I do not recall the answers. If it's just the clues, that could avoid re-occurrences of the week that must not be named.

I said Harry Potter is big enough in pop culture to be a WSO CCC OTD theme, but I think the CCC's answer needs to be something well known enough such that the CCC would still stand on it's own if there were no theme.

I've read all the books. I was still a kid when they came out. I've seen the movies 2-3 times each. The Mrs is also a fan. We've seen/read the spinoffs. Point is, I thought I qualified as a fan, but I haven't a hope of solving these. I agree, the category should be more broad. I would say Harry Potter is big enough in itself and well enough recognised in pop culture to count as a theme, even if not every one has read it.

Maybe I'm wrong and everyone knows their Harry Potter trivia a lot better than I do, but I think this week's theme caters to too small of a niche audience and it might just be a back and forth between yesterday's and today's CCC setters.
