ExecuteNonQuery or using a dataset?When i want query in a database for some data... I find there's two ways. the first one is give a definition of selectcommand,then ExecuteNonQuery. Sometimes we use dataset.. Is there any distinctions of these two ways? thanks for help!

Its my first time to code such project. i find that when i setup sql server2000 ,the setup progress reminds me that it will be only run on win 2000 system. i want to know that whether anybody who program a webservice project must use win2000 operation system or you can choose winxp? ps: my operation system is winxp. thank u for your help

a beginner's questionHi friends: i had such question: i wrote my code in vs.net then i press f5 to view the result of my program,but theres only a flash of the commandline window which disapeared within 0.5 second... Is there any method to view the result while coding with vs.net? I have known the method that write such code as Console.ReadLine() at the end of the code . Is there any other method ? thanks for your help

i'm a beginner. helphi extremeg: thanks for your help :) i find the .exe file was create by csc application at the same folder.so,i create a shortcut of visual studio.net command prompt at desktop then i find that the .exe file was on the desktop too. these days i use this method to compile my code and view results :) i think your method maybe more convenient! thanks for your help... my english is so poor.. i wish that u could understand my message.. :)
