Hi I had installed visual studio 6.0 and then installed Visual Studio .NET and other framework related files. Due to space constriant i uninstalled Visual Studio .NET. Now i am not able to use any of the help files in any application (".CHM" files). I tried installing MSDN for VS 6.0 after copying all the files it prompts about a newer version of help exists in system. I am using Windows XP home edition (updated will all critical updates etc...) Can somebody help me on this help issue, do i have to reinstall the XP? Thanx Harish

hi Harsha Critical section can be used only when resource is getting accessed between 2 threads. What raja needs a way to share resource within same thread.

hi Anybody know what is alogserv.exe that runs on win2000. It takes up all my resources 99% CPU. I have to manualy kill the task whenever i restart. Anyway i can disable this thanx

hi All I am trying to make a one click install from web. I dowbloaded the eval version of installshield and tried creating a package. The minimum without adding my files was 1.3MB. can anyone tell me is this the size i have to expect (minimum) or any other better tool that can give a smaller setup package size. The requirement of the client is that the package should be small not above 1MB Also if i have to install on O/S other then win2000 then i need to package the installer that blows up the file to 4MB.

Hi All I am doing a project in which i need to make dialogs with various components (graphics buttons etc...). What i need to develop is a layout manager for these dialogs. The user can make the dialog like we do in the Resource editor of VC++. Any pointers would be helpful :)
