This has been periodically suggested and is always rejected. The main reason is that these "chats" tend to be private defeating the purpose of the forums/ Q&A, which are to provide searchable answers to questions as if you've had a problem, you can bet your bottom dollar someone else has too. The other thing is, as an [albeit increasingly irregular] answerer, I don't want the ability for someone I've tried to help to pester me, and some users are really persistent, especially when trying to get their homework/exam work done for them.
