I thought I'd mention that in the end I went for Sennheiser HD 202 at £26.48 These isolate quite well allowing lower volume listening. Not a scientific measure, but 20% Master Volume as opposed to about 50%. As well as being more comfortable than in-ear phones, it's a lot easier for people to notice that you're wearing them. So you can make a slight improvement without spending a lot.
:) That's how things seem to work here, and I imagine people break their stuff on purpose. On a serious note, with global warming it would be better to make screens and pcs last longer. My other concern is that you might not notice the screen had gone slightly wrong and be doing your eyes in.
I was doing Windows desk top apps using C#.NET before moving on to ASP.NET apps. The big difference to initially get your head around is the 'disconnected' state of the web page from the server and the 'life cycle' of the web page. Plus the application domain model is very different. Once you learn that, the rest is very similar!

Perhaps they make people down that size drink at the interview as a test. ;)
