I'm back on a project I coded in C 20 years ago and I'm sure glad we chose to comment the way we did cause I've had many a WTF momments lately!

Back in the day this used to be called pseudo code and was the only way we were allowed to get through the design process. If we couldn't describe what we wanted to do in comments how could we expect to code it?

I just went through something similar. My system (laptop) was extremely slow, it literally took minutes to launch a new window of any kind. Turned out that the CPU was overheating due to poor ventilation and dust bunnies. It took it upon itself to throttle down to 25%. Once the system was cleaned out and the bios was reset it was running like new.

I agree with the two page resume. I have sifted through many resumes and when you have a boat load to go through the last thing I want is a 7 or even 4 page resume to read through. Keep it concise, put your skills summary on the first page and be brief about your accomplishments. If your skills meet the job requirements you can talk about your accomplishments in detail wqhen you get the interview. Past manager

Why close the laptop? I run a laptop with an external monitor attached all day long 5 days a week. I love having the second monitor, the extra real estate is really nice.:)
