Alright Stone, you win!It happened to me sometime back and I was too close to formatting my machine to get rid of the stuff, it's so painful. When I first spotted the spyware I thought I can get rid of it easily but it turned out be a nightmare. One tip I have is set your security in the internet zone to high (beware you cant download if you have it high), this saves you atleast some heart burn until you are convinced your machine is clean.

gmail deflationI agree with you on this. May be its a mind set people who are introduced to email the gmail way would probably find it more intutive, but after using other mail clients for so many years, I'm finding it difficult. Anyway, I use my pop account to get stuff and read it happily in outlook :-), I guess I'm still using it 'cause its a bit faster and hassle free than others.

XP SP2 installation (Update)I always have a cd containing all the essentials I need. Nowadays I have an image of the OS (it worked well for my laptop) saves a lot of time. Norton ghost did the trick for me :-)

IE 5.5 SP2Thanks for the link Chris,I have the english version downloaded from that site but couldnt get any info on other language versions. Is there no one else targeting these browser versions these days !! ps : cp is pretty fast and more responsive than ever :-)

IE 5.5 SP2Is there place on earth where I can get these bits, MS seems to have taken down all the links for IE 5.5 SP2 from their site except for Win Me and I need different languages versions (chinese, jap, etc) for testing our product. Now I know its good to have the latest (atleast from the security standpoint) but I dont have much choice here, so if anyone know a link to where I can get IE 5.5 SP2 for the different language/OS flavors, let me know. I tried our MSDN subscriptions and no luck there. I tried the browser archive site and managed IE 5.5 SP2 for English but not for other OS's. Cheers, Kannan

browser stats...I think MS is not bothered with IE anymore as they feel longhorn is going to create a huge wave on that front, serving xaml from the server. Off course they would support the latest standards and all that when longhorn is released but i think its just not on their radar anymore.
