Why do they change the type from Article to TipI highly appreciate that you considered and fixed my problem. Thank you very much!

Why do they change the type from Article to TipThanks for the response. The only reason I got upset is because I was not even asked if I wanted it to be posted as a Tip. If someone had asked me, I would have politely said 'No' and tried to improve my work without any complain. As to the fact that one can later change it, I would repeat the same thing: Why not ask before doing it, so the other person is not 'forced' to undo it. I have been using CP for like a decade and have been writing on it for about 2 years. I spend time writing because I enjoy it; not because I like to start arguments that disturb my and other people's peace of mind. Not everyone has nerves of steel and some writers may just be a little short of being totally crazy. For a moment I was just about to delete everything I have ever submitted. Now that's crazy, even I know. But ... I would simple request that in future my articles are not Tipped. Thanks again for your response. I will again try to post an improved version of my 'Article.' Why do they change the type from Article to TipToday I submitted an article. Someone suggested that it is a Tip and not an article. I politely disagreed and said I thought it was an article. A little later I saw that this article was published as a Tip on Code Project. Now this is a very strange thing. If I needed to submit a Tip, I would have submitted a Tip. I did not change the type myself, since I did not want to publish it as a Tip. I would have rather not publish it as a Tip in that case. I think this thing makes no sense. A writer alone should be given the right to decide if they want to publish something as something or not. If the community thinks that something is not worth publishing, it is fine. But totally changing another person's submission without their will is not acceptable. As soon as I saw it appear as a Tip, I deleted it. I am very surprised at this thing. Don't eat my apples if you think they are not tasty. But don't try to turn my apples into oranges because you think I should rather have oranges.

I would have to say...MS could have done worse. Just think of how they went from Win7 to Win8. I am sure the ride from VS08 to VS10 to VS12 will start looking way better. Maybe MS have become sick of the lawsuits regarding competition and monopoly things!

Force image size limitThis has caused me great trouble with my first ever article on codeproject (Simple and Easy-to-Use Pie Chart Controls in WPF[^]). I did not realize there was a size limit on uploaded images to be included in the article. I uploaded an image to be included in my article. After the article was approved, I realized the image showed in my browser from which I had submitted, but would not show in other browser. I uploaded a new image with correct size. But now in preview I could not see another image (legal size), which was earlier showing. The story did not end here. I kept having problems and still I am not sure how would it look when it is again approved! Another interesting fact, while my revised version with legal size images is under approval process, the old illegal size image has started to show up in the already online version! This bug seems very interesting as well as dangerous to me! I do not want to make this post any bigger; but I should add I must have met tons of very frustrating bugs in the online submission wizard. I am willing to provide the complete list if that interests the codeproject development team. My suggestion for now is that codeproject force the image size at the the time of upload to stop this kind of problems from occurring.
