I've been using KeePass for years, and I've also contributed to the 1.x version, so perhaps I'm a little biased. Currently I use the 2.x version, and that's the one I'd recommend as well, though either one would probably work for you. Give 'em both a try and see which you might prefer.

There's an App for that! There are some parents who would go to any length to avoid vaccinating their children, and because finding other children in your area who are infected with chicken pox is becoming more difficult by the year, these parents have had to turn elsewhere. I wonder how those parents will react with DHS comes knocking on their doors to talk about contagions sent through the mail...

Money changing hands or not changing hands is immaterial as to whether something constitutes copyright/trademark infringement.

but are you allowed to write about something like this in an educational sense?
That depends on what you were trying to accomplish. Are you writing an article describing how to write a Scrabble clone just to write a Scrabble clone? That would, in my opinion, run afoul of the copyright around the original game because you are basically describing how to duplicate the game. Are you writing an article because Scrabble presents an intriguing programming or design issue that you wish to explore? That would be different. But then is the problem unique to Scrabble or is it something that could be found elsewhere but Scrabble just presents an interesting view of the problem? If this be the case, I'd limit the article (or series) to just the problems or challenges you have identified. Describe how Scrabble brings the issue to light, and identify how the problem could apply elsewhere as well.

At last, a reasoned debate on SQL v NoSQL.Absolutely hilarious! The irony of this is that my father has >30 yrs experience writing software, has worked with relational databases for as long as I can remember, hates the idea of NoSQL (to the best of my knowledge), and ... he lives on a farm with several horses.

Wow, no major cell phone carrier will have me :(You have the freedom to leave your current carrier, so long as in so doing you are not violating a standing contract. If you have a standing contract, your ability to leave is conditioned upon what the contract says -- which in many cases requires paying one hell of a severance fee to terminate the contract. So the freedom you want is one you already have. However, you do not have a right to cell phone service. There is no law, regulation, rule, or otherwise that says that a carrier must sell you service. Now in most cases a customer won't be turned down without a compelling reason simply because revenue is revenue, and customers are the primary source of said revenue. But at the same time, if they decide to run a credit check, or if it is company policy to run a credit check, it's to determine if you have a habit of not paying bills or of consistently backing yourself into a financial corner where in your ability to pay your monthly charges comes into question. The phone is separate of the service and your ability to buy the phone now is not a reliable indicator of your ability to pay your monthly charges throughout the term of your contract.

How can I turn on a computer when it is truned off ?Virtually all PCs today in their BIOS should have an option, typically in the power management settings, for setting a "Power On Alarm", or something of that sort. If there is a way to set this programmatically within an application, I don't know of it.

Outlook Tale Seldom ToldYour message said copying from the Inbox, which implies incoming e-mails. Unfortunately an automatic rule can't be created for moving the messages when the message is sent in Outlook.

I wish that it had an option to move emails from the Inbox to a folder instead of copy them, though. That means I'll always have to manually delete the Inbox contents unless I find another solution.
There is a way to set up your rule to move messages instead of just copy them. I use Outlook 2003 at home as well (2007 at work), and I have rules set up to move messages out of the inbox. Read through the checklist of rule options -- "Move to selected folder" or something like that should be one of them.

Best path to a programming/developer position?Reading through all the replies I've seen to your question thus far, one question of my own has come up that I'm surprised no one has bothered asking yet. You're completing a 2-year degree and you're going to be applying to companies that have already said they require a 4-year degree. Many companies are willing to trade experience for education, which brings me to my question: what can you demonstrate or present that you have accomplished during your two years in school other than passing the classes? In other words, have you done anything extracurricular, or is your only programming experience, for lack of better words, the exercises out of the book? If your school has a career placement department, you can also talk to them about finding internships. Whether paid or not, you'll at least get experience you can put on your resume.

Holy #@$@#, pure unadulterated head up assedness hereMy guess is he was referring to what is said in the comments to the article. I agree the article is a fair comparison, but what is said in the comments, however, appears to be anything but (as usual).

What do you do when someone passes your code off as theirs? [modified]Neither do I. Along with uploading it to C-Sharp Corner, he also has it posted on his blog[^], you should definitely target him there as well. It really does make me wonder what else he's trying to proffer as his own.
