I have upgraded work machine (alienware area-51 m15x laptop) and gaming machine (quad core blah...) to Weven RC1. I have been a vista user for a while, so I just did an upgrade. After using Weven for a few weeks, I had to do some work on a staff members XP machine, my goodness did XP suck! It felt really clunky and I couldn't find anything. :laugh: Give Weven a few weeks and let us know....

Nice!! What's even worse is when they drive 2 side-by-side and pass kids through the window. (I've seen it a few times :laugh: .)

A mate of mine works in the XXXXXXXX (kept out for mate's job safety) department of the BBC. The entire division he works in is going to me outsourced to a foreign country, losing 100's of British jobs. I don't really want to HAVE to pay a license fee that won't even go to British workers. ITV or the foreign workers don't warrant any part of my fee, screw 'em.

I second that NVIDIA Mobo's and RAID do not go together. I had a system with 4 raided raptors which should have been lightning fast. It was only marginally faster than a single drive bu8t Vista (Grrrrr) would fail completly every 3 months or so. The Mobo was a rather expensive one as well. The system runs perfectly now with Win7 and a single 500GB drive. Raptors went on fleabay. :laugh:

What Anti-Virus and Firewall are you all using? I have Panda 2008 but it is not compatible. Grrrr. :(

We travel a lot for work, but our whole company plays 3d games in our off time. We have just bought an HP 3500eu laptop.(probably HP3500US for the states). It has a built in GeForce 9300 512MB dedicated graphics card. The system runs left 4 dead at full screen resolution at 30 frames per second with vsync turned on! NICE!!!! COD4 and COD5 Also run very well. The system also has a built in fingerprint reader to help with security. The system was £500.00, to that should be less than $1000 in the US.
