Actually, 25000 yrs was a lot longer than I was expecting. I was just wondering where genesis fit in with the creation myths of other cultures. If it can be traced back to the last ice age then it lines up pretty well. I've always been of the opinion that different religions are just interpretations of the same story with different characters, and all the my god can kick your god's ass is meaningless since it all stems from the same thing. Now I'm going back to the lounge before I'm branded a leftist athiest.

Let me answer your question like this: If you are not a Christian, a non smoker, and generally a nice guy, you can still get cancer. Sounds wrong doesn't it.

Yeah it sounds wrong, but it happens. Does that mean the only possible explanation is Adam? I'm familiar with the genesis creation story, but I don't remember the timeline. How long of a period was it between man being cast out of the garden & the birth of christ?

Makes much more sense now. I always figured cancer was from the sun god who was angry because of the lack of human sacrifices, I never considered the naked woman in the garden with the apple. :~

    1. Lung cancer- can be caused by no outside influence such as smoking but by the curse on Man brought about by Adam. -this section would be for people that have not accepted Christ

Sorry to intrude on your fun here. I usually just read thru the Soapbox & move on, but could you explain this? So if I'm not christian, a non smoker & generally nice guy, and I happen to get lung cancer, it's because some guy who may or may not be real decided to eat some fruit thousands of years ago?

I just left a job where the app they were selling was classic ASP. They had written a .Net version a couple of years ago, but it was pretty much still ASP. They had gone thru the trouble of writing wrappers for pretty much everything - basically to make it all more ASP like. Never seen anything like it. Their whole push was to get the V1 customers (classic ASP) to upgrade to V2 (sorta .Net ish). I lasted 3 months

Shhhh...it's a secret;) Actually, the origin isn't that interesting. It's related to a band I used to be in (Liniment). When I'd play solo I'd book myself as A Bit of Liniment, which eventually got shortened.

Can someone explain to me why people feel the need to slow down to look at accidents on the other side of the freakin highway? I live/work in Portland Maine. Every couple of weeks I have to be in corp. HQ, which is in Southern Mass. - approx 130 miles each way. I leave fairly early so it usually takes around 2 hrs. This morning it was almost 4 1/2hrs. Ran into a 20+ mile backup going south, the cause of which ended up being an accident on the NORTH BOUND SIDE of the highway. It was pretty much cleared by the time I got to it, but it looked like a simple 2 car non fatal/minimal damage rear ending type of thing. Beyond that, the road was completely clear. great way to start the day, ugh.
