  • Frustrated with the CP wysiwyg article editor
    M Mario Majcica

I never use the wysiwyg and always write my articles in the "source". This morning, however, once I reopened my draft, it started in wysiwyg editor. It completely ruined my formatting. I hate that stuff!

    M Mario Majcica

And how about implementing IComparer and using that custom comparer? Then your compare implementation will need to 'translate' words to ints and then just compare the ints?!?!? Sounds plausible? Check this: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/11278081/convert-words-string-to-int[^] and [^] Cheers

So you say, if she was truly intelligent, she wouldn't use Bing? I could add, if she was really smart, she should know things and you should not even ask! ;)

  • Increasing the number of points for Tip/Tricks
    M Mario Majcica

I think you are right. It seems that I just got blurred by low quality articles that may not even be considered tips. Considering that kind of "articles", some tips are more articulated, with more content and they required much more energy to be written. In other hand, considering some great articles (like Sacha Barber's), a properly written tip is proportional. Somehow in past years more and more low quality articles are getting approved. How's so? Isn't it better to have less but better quality then just a bunch of content with in between some gems? Thanks

  • Increasing the number of points for Tip/Tricks
    M Mario Majcica

Sorry that the tone got high. I felt a bit offended as my interpretation of your words was: "If you want more points, write better articles!" Said that, I was just suggesting a slightly higher number of points for Tips/Tricks as they do also often require a lot of work.

    M Mario Majcica

I was suggesting that it will be a better ratio, considering the efforts. I'm not aiming at anything and do mind your business when it comes to writing. I do agree about "Quality over quantity" policy.

  • Increasing the number of points for Tip/Tricks
    M Mario Majcica

It seems a bit low getting only 10 points for publishing a tip and trick. It will be better if we got lets say 25 points. It still requires enough work, not as much as an article, still more 10 for sure. Cheers

  • Can anyone suggest me a good laptop?
    M Mario Majcica

Sincerely I have never tried a USB one, but a while ago my company laptop was a MBP late 2011. And I have received a Belkin Thunderbolt™ Express Dock, which is based on, guess guess, Thunderbolt interface. I had attached to it a GbE, Dell 2711 WQHD monitor, and a couple of usb devices. All worked as a charm, had no lag or any sort of problems. That's why I think that for a simpler scenarios a USB3 could be enough.

  • Can anyone suggest me a good laptop?
    M Mario Majcica

You have your point. Still I think, it depends on your needs. If you use the docking to connect a single 1080p monitor, network and a couple of usb devices (read mouse and keyboard) it should be sufficient. And this all said from a person writing from a Dell Precision M4800 and Dell E-Port Plus Replicator PR02X.

Or if a budget is not a problem a nice XPS 15? - 4th Generation Intel® Quad Core™ i7-4712HQ processor (6M Cache, up to 3.3 GHz) - Windows 8.1 (64Bit) English - 15.6 inch LED Backlit Touch Display with Truelife and QHD+ resolution (3200 x 1800) - 16GB1 DDR3L at 1600MHz - 512GB Solid State Drive - NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 750M 2GB GDDR5 - 4.44 lbs Seems it meets all of your requests and more. And btw, that screen is amazing!

  • Question about Vasco Rossi albums
    M Mario Majcica

I lived for 15 year in Italy, so I came to know him well. One of the best rock singers in Italy ever. What makes his songs different is kind of naif poetry behind words. Rude, raw and sincere. Nice choice, still try to get the words if possible! Enjoy
