  • removing blank / empty lines from editor ?
    M Matt T Heffron

No, that'll collapse everything to a single line! To remove blank lines, in Regular Expression mode replace \r\n(\r\n)+ with \r\n That assumes that the blank lines don't have any whitespace. If they might, then replace \r\n(\s*\r\n)+ with \r\n

I don't want to study that old code enough to answer that question. It seems plausible.

Hmmm. I couldn't see that change when I looked before, but I can see it now! The background highlighting of changes is pretty subtle, and I am R/G colorblind. ;) (Is there a per-user setting for how to highlight differences in a "Compare"?)

User "User-8968280" (Member 9012777) seems to have edited my answer to a 9½ year old question: (How to make multicolor in a single cell of DataGrid based on condition[^]). If I look at the version history of the answer it says "Updates in content", but I don't see any changes if I Compare with the previous version (mine). Any ideas about what's going on? Was this just a ploy to gain reputation points? (This is an 11+ year member, with 1676 points, and no profile biography. Hacking for rep points seems unlikely.) I'm not really concerned about this, mostly just curious.

Re: ransomware -- Only the AOMEI Backupper software has the password to the account with write access to the backup file server (Synology). All other access is by read only accounts, or logging into the server via its web UI, and manually entering the admin password. This seems like it should protect the server from ransomware corruption. Or have I missed something? (And, yes, I need an air gapped copy of the backup server, eventually.)

I posted this as a reply to a similar problem posed in Bugs and Suggestions[^] then it occurred to me that a "Me too" post there might not be seen by the admins. So: Clicked "Select Profile Image" button. Selected the file with the file browser dialog. Clicked the "Open" button. Nothing happens. (Tried multiple times with png and jpg in a few sizes.) Thanks. I thought that Retiring would be a good chance to update things. I'm about a decade older than the current photo!
