I'm stuck on the same thing right now. I think one option is to look up design patterns read up on the "Sender Observer Model" it will allow you to trigger a subroutine on the VB form and pass it arguements as well. This will give you the same effect but it's not really answering the question I know. It is an alternative though. :( Many Thanks, Kiran

If you don't have a firewall installed, the windows firewall is probably running. Look in the security center on the control panel, and see if the windows firewall is running. thanks very much. It works fine. But for regular download only, i.e if i have Download Accelerator installed it always download the ".aspx" page not the audio files. any ideas?

Web-based progress bars and 'simple' are not words that usually appear together. The reason that almost no websites have a progress bar is because they are very difficult to do, require special features (activex,flash) or work differently in so many different browsers that it's not worth considering.

The problem may be in your solutionInfo file. You should find something like this: // You can specify all the values or you can default the Revision and Build Numbers // by using the '*' as shown below: [assembly: AssemblyVersion("1.0.0.*")] [assembly: AssemblyFileVersion("1.0.0.*")] I am guessing that you don't have * in the build you just have 0.0.0.0 which means you are controling the build number. My bad, it does use CSS but it only works in Firefox, that script is for IE. I tried the site in IE with javascript turned off though and it didn't work. It is possible to use a pure CSS solution for both IE and Firefox, like I said search for it on google there are examples out there (bear in mind that a lot of them won't work in both!).
