Hello, same problem arised for me. MS Backup not worthy because does not what i wanted - full control. So wrote my own, scans (Initiated by me) all files (omits specified dirs/files), compares them with the backuped (external), and if unequal, saves them. Backuped files NOT overwritten, saved by generation type. The program is NOT perfect- but it works since a long time. Always a little bit modified to meet new functions. Written in "FreePascal".

Do YOU really know where your things are? This whole Library business is a mess! Try one to find out WHERE your scanner has put the picture. So - I need really to know, and I show also all files with extension (LNK PIF etc) also I want to see the "superhidden" files.

Take a SWISS keyboard, you will be surprised what you find on it! Sometimes I have to struggle with a spanish one - what a mess! All those Chars i have also on my swiss one.

As not of english speaking group, I always was told that this "/" is a SLASH and that "\" is a BACKSLASH. Whats the confusion?

I found out, that using longer, but more descriptive names is the best way. I know, commenting is a good thing - but - who does it really as it should be? Also it depends if is just a trial or a definitive thing.

When I was a professional Systemprogrammer (Assembler)we were fighting against branches whereever. This because the instruction prefetch which fails when you go out of the straigt forward. Also todays machines do that prefetching and will fail to guess the thread! So avoid going left or right - go straight on.
