Hmm Since 0 is not odd nor even from a math point of view, why not solve this problem by assuming a 0-th row can't exist? In fact row 0 is a bit strange if you think about it. So row 1 has the data of your datasource with index 0, and that's no problem in any algorithm. You just can solve it by adding 1 on your data which is indexed 0. Just make a note in the code comments.

How do you ask your manager for a long leave?Maybe ask your manager first if it's his drive to apply western style management and working conditions. If he says no, you're doomed, if yes then maybe propose that since it's normal to have 30 paid holiday days, an absence in case of sickness or neccesary legal or financial business and variable workhours in the west (well at least in Holland where I work).... And that you would like to make use of it. Don't forget to tell him that over the years it's concluded in many countries that if you give respect to your employees by these kind of secondary work conditions, the overall work quality and the quality of society in general is improved. Or ask him: do you live to work or do you work to live?

Dutch/Belgian enclavesThese enclaves origin from land exchange between 2 dutchesses, in the 14th century or even before. The exchange being because of the fertility of the lands. After the pact of Münster (end of 80 year war) part of Holland became under Spannish rule (by proxy Duke of Barbant) and part (northern) was under rule of Dukes of Nassau. Hence Baarle Hertog (Hertog means Duke) and Baarle Nassau. The village however stayed undevided and is called Baarle. Ather 1830 belgium and netherland seperated along this line. The lines are still the old lines of the fields and run through houses, shops etc build on it. The rule is that the position of the frontdoor decides which country and even there is some problems with that. in 1995 the borders were decided once and for all.. To make things clear, every house number also has a national flag besides it. However, there are no big consquences anymore. belgium and the netehrlands have open borders for many decades.
