The rumors of my demise are greatly exaggerated. C# But seriously speaking - C# is a great language and with every new feature set it becomes better and better. The major features they add are very well thought out and very much in tune with what many people want to be added to the language. The latest case in point are abstract static methods added to the interfaces - one cannot overestimate the importance of it for improving reuse. What was hurting C# before - was the fact that it was tied to Windows OS. But there is no longer such restriction.
Nick Polyak
C# is more powerful and is developing faster - my two cents
Nick Polyak
More mature WSL - it is important for me
Nick Polyak
Yes, it is actually for the sake of better WSL that I plan to switch (if at all)
Nick Polyak
Can you justify? Or is it just a joke? If sanity and logic (or lack of thereof) is comparable to Windows 10 - it is good enough for me.
Nick Polyak
What would you advise? Is there a start button there in the Desktop mode? - yes, it is kind of important for me. Any important features lacking?
Nick Polyak
I think not - see the rules about posting in the lounge. There are some other groups within the codeproject that allow political postings. In general software talents from russia on one side or Ukraine and the rest of the world on the other should not get upset because of what they see in the lounge.
Nick Polyak
very interesting thanks. Thumbs up from me.

Test Driven Development (TDD) using XUnit

I even have a partial implementation:
string PullTail()
{
return "Meeeewwwwww".
}

C# is a language developing faster than other similar languages, by absorbing good ideas from other languages including python. I hope they'll implement embedding from golang (the only good feature of golang worth mentioning AFAIK). In general, with once and if dotnet interactive sufficiently matures, it might very well replace Python as the most used language for scientific computing.

Thanks

These bastards refuse to upgrade my dotnet runtime. I am looking for someone instead of them.

Did any of those updates restore the 'start' button? I am in the 'dark humor' mood.

I do not see how I can private message you from the codeproject site, unfortunately. If you want connect to me on linkedin (I provide a link next to my profile) and there we'll be able to exchange the messages or you'll be able to see my e-mail address.

It is very easy, but I want some solutions preferably tested by others. Perhaps this is not the best forum for Mac OS

The problem is I want to get the BigSur.iso from a reliable place (e.g. apple) and apple does not seem to allow me to download it on windows.
Nick Polyak
Virtual Mac would be great also. I just do not know how to do it or where to buy it. There are plenty of instructions for setting up a virtual Linux machine - which I did, but I could not find good instructions for Mac.
Nick Polyak
I do not have to compile or debug the code on Mac - only to run it. Thanks
