A and D are not mutually exclusive. Actually D will make A more interesting as you will get feedback form real users.

How do I reprogram an acronym in my brain?I know what you mean. I worked for Business Objects in Paris where French employees called the company "BO". Later, I moved to their US office, and I noticed that American called the company "BOI" (with "I" for "Inc."). I was wondering if it was to differentiate between BO France, and BO US, but I quickly learned that in America "BO" simply meant "body odor".

How do I prevent a db injection attempt application breakYou may want to add a validateRequest="false" in the page directive to disable the validation, and use SQL parameters to prevent potential SQL injection. Also, read about cross site scripting (XSS) while at it b/c your may be vulnerable to it too.

Call for votes on Evolutility lightweight CRUD frameworkGreat. Thanks a lot. :-O

Call for votes on Evolutility lightweight CRUD frameworkI do not want to be at war with a community I consider myself part of. CodeProject is one of my favorite web sites. I've been a member for 5 years, and I happily contributed several articles and posts. The CodeProject community voted Evolutility 3rd place winner of the code generation contest (last year) and gave me valuable feedback. I'm grateful for it. I thought this community would be happy to help me push my open source further this year. That's why last week I asked for votes on 6 of the 45 forums, and on my 3 articles about Evolutility. I also asked on the loundge today. I understand the need for moderating forums. You may label my calls for votes "ads", and remove them from the forums, but removing them from my own articles on the same topic seems unfair. Anyway, I got the message, it's your site, and your rules. I'll comply. Thanks for making one of the coolest site on the internet.

Call for votes on Evolutility lightweight CRUD frameworkFun. I can't wait to save the galaxy. ;) For now I guess I'll simply go watch the latest episode in the theater.

Control question - not programming as such!I get your point. Please understand mine too and stop exaggerating. I do not think you can correct me in French as it is my first language.

Call for votes on Evolutility lightweight CRUD framework"you" didn't mean "Pete O'Hanlon". Anyway, why should I listen to the advices of someone who talk about "lovers, porn star, and hobnots" in the lounge where the guidelines advises "If you're about to post something you wouldn't want your kid sister to read then don't post it."
-
Call for votes on Evolutility lightweight CRUD framework"The Lounge is a place where you can discuss anything that takes your fancy". I'm not asking you to buy anything, I'm asking people to vote for the open source that takes my fancy. That's all.

Control question - not programming as such!I'm very excited about my open source, and I agree I may have exaggerated by asking for votes too many times. Please, just read your post, you will see that you also got too excited and exaggerated. You counted 10 (including posts on my own articles) as "more than 20", and your spelling is not much better than your counting. Also, if Davey is not mad at me, I do not see any reason for you to be.

Call for votes on Evolutility lightweight CRUD frameworkThis year SourceForge is opening new categories in its community choice award. One of these is "most likely to change the way you do everything". I'd like to participate with Evolutility, a lightweight framework for CRUD applications which uses metadata instead of code (like SalesForce or Intuit QuickBase). Because Evolutility is quite different and can be used for (almost) everything, it may have a chance to win. Also, most successful open source are either alternatives to existing commercial software, or very specialized tools, hopefully they may not compete in that category. A few months ago, you already voted the idea behind Evolutility winner of the Code Generation contest (3rd place). Minimalist Meta-Model for CRUD Applications[^] You can help again by voting for Evolutility as "most likely to change the way you do everything". Vote for Evolutility on SourceForge[^] Now is a good opportunity to help others developers open their eyes (and minds) to the power of metadata. Best regards and thanks for your support, Olivier Giulieri www.evolutility.org[^]
