Recently I had to perform a few little updates on a VS2003 ASP.NET project. But since I had upgraded my browser from IE7 to IE8, the ASP.NET HTML-designer does not show the borderless table elements anymore - which has always been the case... Apparantly IE8 caused this, but is there a workaround ? Thx in advance, MT from Belgium

Anyone still use the Classic appearance? [modified]I have the Royale Remixed Theme on XP http://oddbasket.deviantart.com/art/Royale-Remixed-44294818[^] Does not eat any more resources than standard visual styles and gives you a - sort of - Vista look

Reading out contents of an eID-cardCan someone show me how to read out the contents of a (Belgian) e-Id Card by a web page ? I would like to create a website where accounts can be created by entering a e-Id card and pressing 'New account'. The system would automatically fill in the web-form. Thx in advance.

Skybound visual stylesFinally I managed to open their website. There is indeed a new improved version available. Up to 2.5X as fast as my current 1.2.4 version. This amazing thing has even got better... Congratulations to those guys at Skybound ! BTW, Patrick, thx a lot for your help.

Skybound visual stylesHello, fellow CP-ers, For a long time I have been using Skybound Visual Styles from http://www.skybound.ca because they provide Windows XP styles to my Visual Studio 2003 projects, instead of the default Windows 98-look. Best of all, they are for FREE. Recently I was looking for an update, because even great things can be improved. But they have seemed to have dispappeared from the Web. Have they gone out of business or do they have another name now? Is there someone who can tell me more ? Thx in advance.

Windows Live Messenger eating up my memoryA couple of days ago (only after a few hours working at my PC) my system began telling me I didn't have enough Virtual Memory although I have 1 GB of RAM installed. In Process Manager it showed a whopping 2,4 GB of RAM in use !!! Never had this problem before, so I started to investigate what could be the reason. Began scanning for virusses, spyware, trojans,... all with no result (tried almost every known online scanner). Then I started killing all processes one by one and then ... oops ! - after killing Windows Live Messenger It went down from 2,4 to only 500 MB. Anyone ran into the same problem ? I always try to keep my system clean, so this really puzzles me. BTW: reverting to Messenger 7.5 didn't solve the problem. Now I re-installed Windows Messenger (from the Windows XP CD and doesn't has this memory-eating problem) but now I miss all the nifty features I am so fond of in Windows Live Messenger :( Make a living of your hobby and you'll never have to go to work again

IE7 breaking Visual Studio 2003 ?After some years without mayor problems, my Visual Studio 2003 began to crash every now and then when working on a ASP.NET-project. At the moment the intervals are keeping getting shorter (strange !). By now after every couple of lines of code I do a save just to be sure not knowing when it's going to crash. Sometimes switching from code to design-view is enough... A get a error and VS 2003 quits and sometimes it just even vanishes without no message what so ever. This situation isn't workable anymore. I've done some reinstalls, but the problem stays. Then I realised I installed IE7 Beta some months ago ! Could this be the problem ? To uninstall IE7 could maybe solve the problem, but IE7 has major improvements over IE6, so I would like to keep it (as M$ will force us in a short while anyway :() Could IE7 really be the source for my crashes and has someone of you out there had similar problems AND maybe workarounds? Thx in advance.
