AFAIK, there is no efficient way to find out which application is causing the problem. You can just check the event log for warnings and error messages, that might help you. Or analyze which website is getting more traffic and doing some heavy operations. That would be the one causing problem. CPU should not be high on the SQL box for data inserts. Check that your inserts are as efficient as possible: * avoid INSERT ... WHERE ... statements * avoid clustered index (good for selecting, often bad for inserting) * minimize the number of indexes on the tables you insert to Regarding memory usage, SQL tends to do that (grab as much memory as it can), it does not necessarily mean anything. Check out our Microsoft Stockfeed - it uses the Dundas Chart for .NET. It's fast, easy to setup, has all the bells and whistles and has the best VS.NET designer support I've seen. One thing that I do appreciate about it is that it doesn't need any registration due to it being fully managed - just copy the DLLs into the bin/ dir and off you go (makes it easy when you have 6 web servers :)) cheers, Chris Maunder
