Just use the good old send some random words (or numbers) to the user's email account. If that is not secure enough, then make sure the user apply with 2 email accounts, so that your service can send two sets of different random words (or numbers) to the user's two email accounts. Which may be as safe as a "2 factor authentication services". No fumbling with phone SMS / swipe here / swipe there, etc, etc. And if that is not secure enough, then make sure the user apply with 3 emai ... ... ... ...

How do I tell them I reconsidered?Send me 10 bucks through paypal, and i'll write one formal letter to company A for you. Or you can just call company A, talk to the guy in charge as politely as possible about your situation, and your life continues with company B.

Why SQL Server Installer Sucks Todaydandy72 wrote:
Totally. Wouldn't be surprised at all if this was one of those cases where, if one hacked the OS check out of the installer, it would install and run perfectly. But knowing MS, they probably added a runtime check as well, so...
I'm sure hacking an OS is not an ordinary task for the ordinary Joe. To avoid all these hacking or these oh-so-many updates, moving to Linux is definitely a good idea. Linux seems to be able to support some really old hardware. Kudos to Linux.

Why SQL Server Installer Sucks TodayCan't argue with that, strong-arming people into the latest OS doesn't only happen in Windows. Same things happen if we have to use iOS / Android / etc etc. :sigh:

ObservationsThat's a pity, as some of us here must have known that Excel can do much more compared to pocket calculator in shorter amount of time. Hey, may be you could suggest to that bloke that abacus can sometimes do certain calculations much faster than pocket calculator and abacus doesn't need battery. :-D

2018, A dark year for the gaming industry...Good for those who like to spend big money on "added extras". Not so good for those who are starting with these games. Money can't buy everything, but in this case money can buy bigger and better costumes or weapons or shields.

Marie Antoinette's pearl pendant sold for a record sumWouldn't it be funny, if one of these million-dollar pendants starts to self-destruct (or self-shatter) just like the recent "self-destructing Banksy"? https://edition.cnn.com/style/article/banksy-painting-questions-intl/index.html[^] Betcha, some would find it to be satisfying and some might find it to be a pity.
