Are you sure it isn't already applied? Most heatsinks now will already have a thin layer applied to them and you just push it on carefully. But if not, I've always just put a blob in the middle and let it push out.

Same, all my code is on visualstudio.com as well as having a local copy. This has made me think that maybe I should have another backup though.

I use it for a website and it works great. The auto-renewal feels a bit clunky in Windows but it's not stopped working *yet* - I use the same auto-renewal linked by Richard Deeming above.

Can I ask which hypervisor you're using and which flavour of Linux? I'm thinking of doing this on OpenSuse with Windows 10 under KVM.

Which version of Linux are you thinking of using for this? I'm also considering going down this route and thinking either Suse or Ubuntu with Windows 10 in KVM.

I'd do what you've suggested - a 200 with an empty response. A 404 doesn't feel correct to me. To me that indicates that the web service was not found.

File Count and Total Size don't work for me. Total Size displays the total drive space used and File Count is just empty.

I personally would have left it at the first one but wouldn't have included the first three comments.
