    For some reason I considered the following as an improvement as well:

      switch(n)
      {
         case 1:
            cost += 25;
            break;
         case 2:
            cost += 25;
            goto case 1;
         case 3:
            cost += 25;
            goto case 2;
         default:
            Console.WriteLine("Invalid selection. Please select 1, 2, or 3.");
            break;
       }

    I've always assumed that it's CodeProject Cryptic Crossword[^], the assumption being that the third C is for CP.

    Nice one. :) Truthfully, a number of our ISPs are having problems these past few weeks. Some started sooner, other later. I'd say it's the infrastructure (had such a problem when a few companies started increasing bandwidth in their offers, far more than their network could support at the time), and it probably is, but I'm sure that they have financial problems as well. Most of them increased their standard 'limitless' offer from 1k/256 Kbps to 8k/1k Kbps over a very short period without significant changes in their equipment. I know for a fact that my current ISP doesn't even come close to fully utilizing its bandwidth, while a great deal of their customers have major packet loss and insanely horrible speeds. E: I'm not sure if it's CP or something else at this time though, just ranted a tiny bit.

    Try adding Tab Mix Plus to that list, it's the most useful add-on after ABP and its add-on ABP Filterset.G updater, at least for myself.

    I really want to solve one of these one day, but normally I either miss them completely or someone guessed already, and NOW I'm out of time so I'll just post what I got: Pinch outside - cold - poles - polar ship record - log - map - navigation exists - is to point to - direct ancient fire - (from previous) polar-is - Polaris -.. direction? I'm not confident that this is correct, at all, but there it is. ;P

    Well, I don't use Chrome that much (only at work, sometimes) but I think that this sort of thing is where it has an advantage. If I've understood it correctly so far, only the process assigned for the domain where the picture is hosted would've stopped responding, leaving you the possibility to open any other site until the problematic one 'un-hungs'. But I don't even know if the native download manager works/is linked like that so I may be completely wroo...onG? I cannot speak for all browsers, as I mostly use Firefox these past couple of years and I have no valid insight on how much the other have been improved, but I guess at times that all of them know how to fail like that.

    So it took longer than usual to finish a virus scan, this one time? Anyways, you can always disable the auto-scan. e: Very bad question, somehow I didn't read the 'hung completely' part properly. :sigh:

    I don't really get what you mean (nor if it's actually directed at my post, sorry if it isn't), but the gadgets I'm using make loading other pages unnecessary for the lot of the time. It's not really a gateway for me anymore. e: Typo.

    I've been using it for two or three months now, and I really like it. The adjustment period was a bit longer, since it took a while until they fixed some bugs with the most popular gadgets. I'm pretty much using it all the time, and the maximize button is something that caused me to use Gmail and especially Google Reader a lot less than ever. Oh and, yesterday I somehow switched to the old iGoogle (by switching a few times between the Classic and iGoogle view), and I really disliked it, as the smallest features make that much of a difference when you're using one page for a good amount of time. Lucky I could restore the page from a backup made a couple of hours before I messed it up.
