What about a panel? a tabcontrol? a usercontrol? run-time controls?

Did you ever felt the need to put controls on top of each other? So you can set them visible/invisible depending on the situation? This project I have to 'debug' is full of it... You have a button over a textbox over a panel over a groupbox and so on ! The guys here wonder why I do not like this practice. Can you tell me why you wouldn't do this, so I can offer them a LIST of reasons... ;)

Maybe the endless stream of needless and annoying adjustments play a role too. Programming often offers a good place to rethink your business. But they almost never do! They just want you to program their chaotic business rules! Maybe I should switch jobs :)

Hello all, I am working as a jr .NET developer (since 3 yrs) in Belgium, planning to take a (long) break with friends in Canada. I wonder, how should it be to work there as a developer? Do you I have any good chance to get there an interesting job? I am working as a developer, but I'm doing business-analysis as well, which is the way I want to go. Anyone with interesting experience?

I wish it was a joke... there are 2 'developers' for this huge application. The company decided to replace this legacy.. finally. By the way, I found their Access DB: it exists of 125 tables, in which I found one (1!) relation (no referential integrity, what did you expect?)
