Yup, one of the most horrible pieces of software I've had the "pleasure" of working with X| My main concern is just how incredibly unintuitive it is .. I had to (very carefully) read a tutorial just to be able to put a button onto the designer and connect it to an event .. I'm very glad I don't have to use Apple stuff on a daily basis :-\ Regards, Tadej

Is a 14" laptop comfortable for a programmer to work with?If you really want to, any size can be ok .. But if you ask me, you need 2 monitors, each at least 22". I actually have 3 monitors, but that's usually an overkill (don't get me wrong - it's great, but not *that* much more than having 2). Regards, Tadej

Advice needed - Laptop hard driveI have a HP Compaq nx6125 1.8ghz turion + 5400rpm 80gb disk.. and I would happily trade the drive for a 7200rpm 60gb disk :) Why? Cause I often notice I have to wait for stuff to happen.. but the CPU is below 10%, while the disk is just grinding! Regards, Tadej

Recommend a gameOk, I'm running Generals on AMD Turion 1.8 + 512mb (of which 64mb is being shared for the graphics) + Ati 200m (x300 chipset with the 64megs mentioned before) .. oh, and it's running at 1400x1050 (the native resolution of this monitor:)) at a very impressive speed! So it's not *that* hard on the specs ;) Regards, Tadej ps: and it's a great game, as well, I recommend it

Anyone ever use PostgreSQL?Oh, and you should also read http://searchopensource.techtarget.com/originalContent/0,289142,sid39\_gci1172668,00.html, which goes through some incorrect "facts" about postgresql.

Anyone ever use PostgreSQL?I've used it in quite a few different apps (php, .net) and i'm *very* satisfied with it! The database is excellent (but if you want to make it as fast as it can be, then you have to fiddle with it a bit - with the settings, that is) and their support is great as well. I'd recommend it for everything, except if you need an embedded db .. then I usually go with firebird. Regads, Tadej

WYSIWYG Control for .Net...It's one of the best things around, actually. The only thing is that it's huge and can therefor sometimes work a bit slow.. And, also, some don't like it that it works in a frame (iframe, to be more specific). And, because it works in a frame, the "back" button doesn't work (at least on firefox). Regards, Tadej

Project management software (ah, am I really posting this)I've been using dotProject (http://www.dotproject.net/) for quite a while and it's been great.. not sure if it's exactly what you're looking for. Regards, Tadej
