I see... It does recover the partition table... That sounds like my best choice (NG) as of now, thank you

It pretty simple, it is a bare min. bootable XP partition, with a secondary executable that does the recovery work. I can't use F10 to boot into the recovery console, but I can run the secondary executable fine with a BartPE disk I am not afraid of a little nitty Grity work, and the entire partition could fit on a single DVD, I just don't know how to get the Bootloader Code to form a bootable iso image. Any clue there?

Is there any way to do this? I know you can snapshot the files over, but is there anyway to make it bootable and start its installation procedures?

Hi! I need you help solving a strange problem. On my cisnet AOL PC with XP SP2, when I plug in my RiDATA 128MB usb 1.1 thumb drive my pc restarts. This is a random occurence as far as the restart, but only happens to the RiDATA. Why is this, and how do I fix it? Note: I will not do firmware upgrades as i have a bad past with them (Killed an awsome pentium II MX PC - top of the line at the time and ran very fast even with XP) -- modified at 21:12 Saturday 17th November, 2007

Thanks - Well, it seems SMART capabilities(if any) are hidden, which I always thought were used for warning you about eminent hard disk failure -Fragmentation is said to be 19%, but the bars that MS gives us are 90% red

- Hello there. I recently aquired a HP Pavillion 522c desktop computor to program on. It works great, but one problem, I have to defrag 2-4:wtf: times a day with heavy fragmentation:wtf:. This not counting the original defrags after installing about 10 Gigs of software and updates. - Why does it fragment so easily? - Can it be fixed? Hard disk -Western Digital -60 GB ~Thanks in advandce

Please note that i live next to a decorated police officer and I myself own a full shirisaya sword set, a kasarigama(look it up), and 10 shyrukens. ~~I do believe these tend to ward off evil doers;P And besides, there is no way that an 100 meter wireless router can transmit that far inside of a desk drawer in the middle of 2500 square feet. I live in the middle of nowhere and live withen 5 miles of cow pastures and tobacco feilds. If this isn't enough to instead buy a 50 ft ethernet cord please let me know -- modified at 13:07 Tuesday 17th July, 2007 PS: And the nearest WalMart is 25 miles!

Is there a way that I can have internet on both pc's? I read something about using a "crossover cable" and an extra ethernet adapter in the original pc, but it seems to easy:~ . If this process is right, is there software needed, new drivers or a different "special" ethernet adapter? Thanks PS- If it makes any difference, I am using a seimens speedstream 4200 router.

I have killed my computer permanetly messing with BIOS. My suggestion is to leave it be and turn your computer on manually.
"Shorter of breath, and one day closer to death." ~Pink Floyd
- I do beleive you should run the installer with a /S for silent mode. example: myinstaller.exe /S -If this has changed with a new version check your nsis manual PS: You migh also have to add an IsSilent() check in your install script

I had this problem once and beleive it or not a simple disk cleanup and defrag did the trick:) ---Although I think i also had spyware, but symantec no detect

- What i am actually trying to do is make some modifications to the Blender source code to fix my problems with the buttons and menus being drawn incorrectly because of driver issues, but all can be fixed if just the ui goes DX. PS: The actual 3D window is fine i just want to mix the OpenGL editing with the buttons and menus being drawn with DX -- modified at 16:38 Thursday 19th July, 2007 Come on guys. I just need to know if it wont crash my computer with the mix of the two. -- modified at 16:39 Thursday 19th July, 2007
