I bought the Boss Lady a Kindle (the BIG one!) for her birthday. Within six months, it had paid for itself with the money she saved buying books. She cruises the book market almost daily. When she sees something new, interesting, and FREE, she will download it. Lots of times there will be a price on it a few days later. Even when she buys a book at the Kindle price, it is always cheaper than the tree version. I can go online and order books I like. Then read them on my Android phone with the free Kindle app. Oh, I wouldn't worry about the screen size. I have read several books on my phone, and its screen is substantially smaller than the 6" Kindle's.

Right you are. The accepted tale is that an Egyptian shepherd noticed the goats were friskier and more playful after eating the cherries off a coffe bush. (Yes, "cherries". Coffee is a fruit. The bean analogous to the pit. But that's another story.) Getting the "benefits" from eating the cherries evolved into the discovery of eating the dried pits and thence to crushing and eating, then roasting, crushing, and steeping the pits in water.

Try checking your MRU lists. Not easy to get them all. You'll have to check the registry and data files, depending upon the application(s). Take a look at your "My Recent Documents" list. Same thing happened to me a couple of years ago. I found a path to a file on the A: drive in an MRU list, removed it, and the floppy drive ghost was exhorcised.

  • MSDN License

I have a Universal license (just transitioned it to the VS for App Architects). And have worked with clients that are MS Partners. I believe Partnership would be the way for you to go. It costs about the same as what used to be MSDN Universal. You get volume licensing and marketing help. If you want to pursue a particular niche in the software development market, MS can provide training (for a fee, of course) and put you on their roster of Preferred Partners and steer prospects your way.

  • GPS Devices
    U UncaDanno

I saw a GPS receiver at CompUSA a few weeks ago. I think it cost about $50 or $80 (US). I can't remember the name or brand, but it was in the case with the other GPS setups, like Garmin and Magellan. I have worked with GPS apps in the past and was looking for a combination of GPS receiver (to receive the NMEA sentences from the satellites), a mapping app (to figure out where the NMEA sentences tell me I am located/going), and my laptop (to run the app on and plug the GPS receiver into).
