Visual Studio 2005I haven't had a change to check out many of the new features. Some features that I have checked out are: Separetad the windows designer code from the rest of the forms/controls code. Easier to work with in my opinion. EDIT AND CONTINUE (for VB) is back in the bag of tricks. The exception handling system has been improved, the immediate view has been implementes inline with the code making it easier for debuging. the snippets library "seems" interesting, The in project development of databases is quite nice, although I still can't figure out where specific data providers went. And since i'm still playing around with it, i'll see if I find more things. PS: Installed it on my dev machine side by side with VS6/2000/2003 and Sql Server 2000 Developer No problems...

Visual Studio 2005Just got a my crispy new install of Visual Studio 2005 Beta 1 running. Microsoft is seriously moving it's bottom. Very nice interface, and for the beta version, the interface is quite stable (expcept for little quirks here and there) Pretty damn nice in all I would say. I'll keep playing around with it to see what happens. For windows forms, very few new "toys" added to the tools menu, but oh well... VS2K5 is awesome. :)

Dell Notebooks - What do you think about them?We have 7 Dell Inspiron 8600 Notebooks, and have only had 1 incident with one of them, a broken hard drive, but that was a wierd problem all toghether. DELL Support is extreamly efficient, their online services work wonders, and the help desk is great. Hell they even called me back! :omg: The quality of the actual notebooks is very high, all high end components, slick design, and I have to hand it to them, the onboard diagnosic utility is incredibly nice. All and all, on a 1 to 10 scale, as I see it, Dell is a 9.8.
