it is using 3rd party grid control. It returns ICollectionView [^](https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.componentmodel.icollectionview(v=vs.110).aspx)

Nope. filter is ICollectionView [^](https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.componentmodel.icollectionview(v=vs.110).aspx) type. It is possible it could be null.

    1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + ... = −1/12.

I'm not sure if age is a factor. :-O I upgraded almost 5 years Lenovo Yoga two weeks back with no problem, well sort of. Initially I kept getting errors after errors. After some googling and looking up on MS site, it turned out to be AV related. I disabled Windows Defendor and it completed with no hiccups. With that been said, I won't rule age out :~

I don't know which part of the world you are in. I recently changed a job and in process I made it clear that I was not willing to share my current employers contacts. There was on company who wants to include but I told them it will be a deal breaker for me and they relented. Try to understand if that is must have or nice to have deal and set your own conditions. If you are not willing to give them, tell them it is a deal breaker, unless you don't want to loose the opportunity. In that case you are stuck.

  • How many devices do you have plugged in to your USB port(s)?

Would it be as fast as an internal SSD?

Like many question, the answer is 42 it depends. most internal SSDs use eSATA and external SSDs use USB, but not all interfaces are created equal. For starters there is a difference between USB2 and USB3 throughputs. In many cases USB3 (external) will be faster than eSATA ( assuming head-to-head comparison ), but USB3 will be dependent on how may other devices are connected. In general, for low - mid data access you won't see much difference between internal and external SSDs but for heavy data access internal has slight advantage. These sources are bit outdated, but the point is still valid http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2413310,00.asp[^] and http://www.itworld.com/article/2693284/usb-3-0-vs-esata-is-faster-better.html[^]

The price has come down drastically, the low end around $200. I bought Samsung 512G SSD for ~$300 about 3 month back. https://www.google.com/search?q=512GB+external+SSD&oq=512GB+external+SSD&aqs=chrome..69i57&sourceid=chrome&es_sm=93&ie=UTF-8[^]

  • Perfect April's fool
    Y Yusuf

A week ago my uncle called and left me a voice mail. I've been thinking about him, then he called me again last night close to mid-night which was unusual. The phone conversation went something like: ME: [seeing his name on the caller ID] Hello [name], How are you? HIM: Hello, I know you called me today, I am returning your call I'm puzzled as I did not call him. ME: I was thinking about you. Thank you for your call last week, but I did not call you today. HIM: As soon as I stepped into the house my son told that you called earlier to let me know your brother arrived safely. I am more puzzled because I didn't call and my brother didn't travel. Then suddenly, his son burst out laughing "Happy April's fools day Dad!" Nice way to reconnect family.

  • Interview Question ??
    Y Yusuf

I ask that question all the time when interviewing a candidate, here is why? 1. I want to know what the candidate feels about his/her level. 2. I adjust the questions based on the level the candidate thinks. For example if someone thinks they are at level 8/9 but are struggling to answer some mid level questions then either they are not honest or they don't know too much. The scale is arbitrary to me and just by itself does not reflect anything. But combining it with other factors and metrics, it gives me a glimpse of the candidates aptitude. Let me give you couple examples: 1. Not too long ago I interviewed a candidate for senior level position. When I asked him to rate himself on C# and .net he said 9 out of 10. Later when I asked him to do some coding exercise he said he feels more comfortable talking about the theories and how the framework works and was reluctant to write a code on the white board. I kept explaining to him I was not looking for clean code and some syntax errors ( missing semicolon ) are not a factor. I cut the interview short half way through the coding exercise because he was struggling to write c# code for the position. The scale he gave himself didn't meet what I observed. 2. Another time, I asked a candidate to rate himself he said 6/7, but he was able to answer most questions and show solid code. Later I asked him why he gave himself a rate of 7, he said even though he knows enough there are many areas he would like to improve. We ended up offering him the position. So, the rate a candidate gives me by it self does not mean much. But it helps me to alter the interview according to what the candidate thinks about themselves. If a candidate underrates himself / herself significantly just to impress me, I will have hard time to consider them for the position.
