You'd do it with a couple things, one of them being an .INF file. Heres something for you to peruse: Components and Files Used for Network Component Installation[^] "The greatest danger to humanity is humanity without an open mind." - Ian Mariano http://www.ian-space.com/

Roger Wright wrote: It is not recommended that you install an IIS Web Server on a Windows 2000 Domain Controller. I had a problem with security when running .NET apps on a PDC Win 2K server. I unfortunately setup the server as a PDC and then .NET would work only with user permissions as SYSTEM. :-(

I run XP on my desktop, Win2k Server on my laptop, and Linux 2.5.15 on another desktop. I've used XP Server on the same laptop with no problems, but needed a Win2k Server environment, and that's why my desktop now runs XP. As a dev. platform, XP is fine, I just kill all the themes so it looks almost identical to Win2k. (There are plenty of sites out there that give you tips on speeding up any Windows OS.) As far as power management: never had a problem. Works like a charm.:wtf: -- ian http://www.ian-space.com/

It has nothing to do with security. Your app is leaking resources (mostly likely GDI objects) and since much of the 9x OS is 16-bit internally, you hit a 16-bit limitation (like exhausing a 64K heap for example). So the solution is to fix your resource leaks. --Mike-- "I'd rather you just give me a fish today, because even if you teach me how to fish, I won't do it. Yes, we are talking about MSDN library (and HTML Help Control Version 4.74.8875). I read that the MSDN Library favorites are stored as URLs to information inside of HTML Help files (.chm files). What is the name of this file?

I think you must first of all install Terminal services from the add/remove programs - windows components. Then start - program - admin tools - Terminal services. If it's ok, let me know! - Prakash vishwadev@intnet.mu

Hmmm, do you all log on as different users? If you log on as the same user, I don't think you have that problem. I know I don't ;) - Anders Money talks, but all mine ever says is "Goodbye!"

That's what I did when I noticed how much space they were taking up, and no harm has come of my rash move. However, this is XP we are talking about, so don't sue me if things don't work out the same ;P Help! I'm an AI running around in someone's f*cked up universe simulator. - Marc Clifton
